Israel Derangement Syndrome
Ever since the October 7th attack, there has been a dramatic increase in anti-Israel, if not anti-Jewish, rhetoric on social media, manifesting itself through public discourse. Something I like to call Israel Derangement Syndrome. But now the layers of the onion have been peeled back, and we're seeing a lot of this is coming from Islamic countries. It has been a massive social media campaign aimed toward the Western to erode support for Israel. This campaign appears to have several objectives: Divide the MAGA base as Republicans are primarily pro-Israel. Divide the Christian base as Christians, particularly evangelicals, are pro-Israel. Distract from the real threats (i.e., the Islamization of the West). It does this largely by flipping the script, turning Israel into the oppressor and the Palestinians into the oppressed.
