There is no genocide

There's a popular saying, repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth. That means that it doesn't matter if something is actually true or not. What matters is that if you say it enough times, then people will "believe" to be true. Such is the case when it comes to Israel and genocide. This lie is repeated often enough, that people accept it as fact. Notice, I said a fact, not the truth. Because the truth is, there is no genocide, and I'm giving twelve reasons why: 

1. The Gaza Health Ministry is not a reliable source of reported civilian causalities. They are controlled by Hamas, who have a vested interest in inflating causalities of war.

2. The UN is not a reliable source of reported civilian causalities. They only parrot the Gaza Health Ministry and have a known history of being biased against Israel.

3. There's been zero outside verification to confirm the actual number of civilian casualties in Gaza.

4. The Gaza Health Ministry makes no distinction between civilians and combatant deaths or whether they died from natural or unnatural causes. They lump all deaths together intentionally. Also. just because someone is under the age of 18 and can be defined as a "child" doesn't mean they can't also be a combatant. Hamas has been known to recruit minors.

5. Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in 2005 of their own accord. They withdrew their military presence and evacuated all 21 Israeli settlements and 8,000 settlers, some by force. Gaza was allowed to self-govern and select who governed it. So, what happened? In 2006, the Palestinians elected HAMAS, a terrorist organization. Later that year, militants capture an Israeli solider, Gilad Shalit, leading to Israeli military operations. From 2008 to 2022, there was a repeated cycle of rocket fire from Gaza, Israeli military operations, and ceasefires. That ultimately culminated in the 2023 October 7th attack on Israel that killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians. This was the sole reason why the Israeli military went into Gaza, and all the previous times, not the wanton destruction of an entire populace.

6. Israel's method of operation has never to target civilians, their war is with Hamas. To the contrary, they have shown considerable restraint and a desire to avoid or limit civilian casualties. They have given advanced warning of an attack by sending text messages, dropping leaflets, and using media and social media, all to their own detriment. They use precision-guided weapons, smaller munitions, and inert munitions to minimize damage to nearby civilian structures. They have planned their attacks for times of day when there are few civilians nearby and have even aborted attacks due to too many civilians in an area.

7. Hamas likes civilian casualties. They have a reputation for targeting civilians, including their own. It has been documented that Hamas intentionally fire rockets around civilian buildings such as schools and hospitals. For example, there is evidence that Hamas built a tunnel network beneath Al-Shifa Hospital, stored weapons there, and used parts of the hospital. Some Israeli hostages were even taken there after the October 7th attack.

8. Israel has provided humanitarian aid to Gaza in the form of food, medicine, and shelter. They have provided medical support and medical evacuations for the people in Gaza. They have repaired infrastructure, water pipelines, and communications. They supply Israel with water, electricity, and fuel. Gaza is not self-sufficient and would not be able to function if Israel permanently halted all water, electricity, and aid that it provides. The continual flow of aid and support is inconsistent with the actions to eliminate an entire populace.

9. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, Gaza's population has increased from 1.9 million in 2015 to 2.41 million in 2026. That's a 20–25% increase over the decade. Populations don't generally go up during a genocide; they go down. These statics are incompatible with a mass genocide.

10. There are 2.1 million Israeli Palestinians that make up 21% of Israel's population. They are able to serve in everything from Israel's government to military. If the goal was ethnic cleansing, allowing Palestinians to live in Israel proper would be counterproductive and thus not indicative of such a narrative.

11. There are 7.1–7.3M Jews living in Israel proper. There are a combined 7.5–7.7M Palestinians living in Israel proper, Gaza, and the West Bank. The continued presence of such a large, proportional Palestinian population would logically argue against a policy of displacement or elimination.

12. This is and has always been primarily a propaganda war. Israel's enemies know they can never defeat Israel militarily, but they can defeat Israel in a propaganda war. They know Westerners are sensitive to civilian casualties and will eat it up. It's clever propaganda disguised as empathy and marketed to Western audiences.

Bonus: There are actual genocides happening right now in places like the Sudan, Nigeria, China, and Myanmar. Yet, the same people who cry about genocide in Gaza are silent when it comes to actual genocides. That tells me they really don't care about genocides, they only care about about demonizing and villainizing Israel.
